Dear Competitor/Athlete:
This page has been created to answer the majority of your questions and to provide you information about the 2010 Dexter Jackson Classic and the IFBB Jacksonville Pro Championships. Competitors are able to download the NPC Amateur entry form on this page, as well as find a list of services that are recommended for all athletes. Please be sure to return your entry form ASAP, so that we may be able to add your name and category to the show program. The deadline for your information to be included in the program is Monday July 19th, 2010. Also, please be sure to purchase tickets for your family/friends to the show early, last year was a sellout!
Friday August 6th and Saturday August 7th, 2010, are the dates for this exciting two-day event. The UNF Lazzara Performance Hall will once again be the venue to host this year’s event. This year there is the addition of the IFBB Jacksonville Pro Bikini! The first annual 2009 Jacksonville Pro Bikini Championship holds a $4,000.00 purse with the top 3 qualifying for the 2010 Olympia.
Sanction: The National Physique Committee (N.P.C.) of the U.S.A. INC sanctions this contest; sanction# 24063. All rules and regulations of the National Physique Committee will be strictly adhered to.
Eligibility: This event is open to any athlete in the United States and is a non-qualifier.
Music: Music should be turned in at the competitor’s meeting Friday, August 6th (for IFBB athletes) and Saturday, August 7th (for NPC athletes) . Music should be cued and ready to play on CD only; no profanity allowed; 75 seconds maximum limit for bodybuilding. Be sure to have a backup recording.
Qualifications: All participating competitors must be a member of the N.P.C. You may click here to download and print your 2010 N.P.C. card application, or, membership cards will be available at weigh-in/check-in for $90.00.
Entry Form/Fee: ENTRY FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. Entry fee is $65.00 per category and an additional $65.00 for crossovers. All entry fees are payable by money order only and made payable to Dexter Jackson. Crossovers are not allowed between women’s bodybuilding, figure and bikini. Crossovers are only allowed between open and master/novice classes. The deadline for entry fees is Friday, July 23rd, 2010. Entry forms post-marked after July 23rd, 2010 will be $90.00. Entry forms will be accepted at the mandatory weigh-in/check-in on Friday August 6th, 2010, in cash only at $90.00. Entry forms will not be accepted the day of the show.

Awards: Every competitor will receive a gym bag filled with “goodies”, and 2010 DJC T-shirt. Cup trophies will be awarded to the top 5 competitors in each Open class and top 3 in the Masters, Novice and Teen classes. The top 3 in each Open class will also receive a pair of Versa Gripps. Overall winners will receive a trophy,
a ProTan package, and MuscleTech supplements. The Overall Figure and Bikini winner will receive a Passion Fruit Designs suit gift certificate.
Competitor Services
At the 2010 DJC, we strive to offer you an array of the best services available. Whether you are a NPC or IFBB athlete, we want your experience in Jacksonville to be one of your best, and most memorable. After all, you have worked hard for it! TRAVEL
Janice VanOrmer at The Travel Authority is the 2010 official travel agent who can meet all your needs for those of you flying to and from Jacksonville, Florida. Please feel free to contact her at (904) 236-4091.
TRANSPORTATION
Dana’s Limousine and Transportation Service is the DJC official transportation service. Shuttle service will be provided in 20 minute intervals, free of charge, from the host hotel to the venue. Shuttle service will be available only from Thursday, August 5th thru Saturday, August 7th (please pick up a schedule at the host hotel front desk). Also, there will be special rates for those of you who need airport transportation.
TANNING
This year we will once again be using ProTan, and their crew for the official DJC airbrush tanning. Airbrush tanning will be available by appointments prior to the show. Please click here if you are interested in scheduling your appointment. During pre-judging and finals, there will be a team set up back stage to help with all touch-ups, glue and oil, free of charge.
MAKE-UP
All Female Competitors! Ms. J Zubire is a professional freelance makeup artist and MAC Pro. Elaine Goodlad, an IFBB Pro and premier industry makeup artist will be available to any female athlete that is interested in scheduling an appointment for a full makeup application, prior to the show. Elaine has been in the industry for some time now as a top pro figure competitor. She knows firsthand the “stage-ready” look that is needed to look your best. SUITS/POSING TRUNKS

PHOTOS / DVDs
Photographic servicesthat include both photos and DVD’s, of both prejudging and finals, will also be available. Mark Masonwill be the official contest photographer and videographer. Mark’s company, Bodybuilding and Fitness Photography, will be on-hand at the 2010 DJC as the official photographer. He will also be working with his video company, MarkMasonMedia.com, as the official event videographer. Below you will find information on his photo and video packages.
Prejudging Portraits
Fitness, figure, and bodybuilding portraits will be shot during prejudging the day of the show. I will be using a three-point lighting scheme for studio quality portraits. Figure and fitness competitors are welcome to have half their package taken in their one-piece and half in their two-piece. Your images will be mailed to you on a high resolution CD within three weeks. Portrait pricing is $40 for fifteen images.
Night Stage Images
Images of your stage presentation, comparisons, pose-downs and any trophy awards will be captured and mailed to you on a high resolution CD within three weeks. Night Stage Images are $40 for your whole stage experience.
Video Packages
The DVDs that I produce have a motion menu system broken down by classes for ease of navigation. I also include a lower-third with each contestant's name at the beginning of their stage performance. The Prejudging DVD is $40 and the Night Show DVD is $40.
Sunday Gym Photographs
Mark will be accepting a limited number of clients for a one-hour gym shoot featuring you training and posing in a local area gym. He uses three-point lighting similar to the photos in FLEX and OXYGEN magazines. The one-hour shoot is $150.
